Halloween Guidelines at Brownridge PS

28 Oct

In advance of Halloween, we just want to remind our famililes that no food treats of any kind are permitted at Brownridge Public School.  Please also ensure that you carefully read the packaging of any treats your child may be bringing for snack. We are a nut free school. We greatly appreciate your support in keeping our students and staff with life threatening  allergies safe.

Students will have the opportunity to wear costumes in the afternoon of Halloween (October 31). As we adhere to the Safe Schools Policy, no masks or replicas of any weapons are allowed. Please be sensitive to the nature of your child’s costume as we have younger students beginning at age 3 in kindergarten at Brownridge.

Thank you for your cooperation in this important matter.

Special Needs Track and Field Meet POSTPONED

20 May

We’d like to share with our community that the difficult decision has been made to postpone tomorrow’s Regional Track and Field meet for students with special needs.

At the moment, Environment Canada is predicting rain to begin at 11 am, with the possibility of thunder and lightning.  For student and staff safety and comfort, the organizers will postpone the meet and look for an alternate date.

We will communicate a revised date to the community once one has been established.
