Good afternoon everyone! We hope you are staying warm on this wintery weekend! Here are some things to know:
- Brownridge PS, along with all elementary schools in the YRDSB, is closed on Monday, January 20 because elementary school teachers will be conducting a one day strike. School will resume on Tuesday, January 21.
- Join us on Monday, January 20 for our School Council Meeting at 6:30pm in the library. Come with ideas in which School Council can engage in/participate in to make Brownridge your home away from home!
- Students in grades 6,7 and 8 will be participating in the Values, Influences and Peers program (VIP) over the next few weeks.
- On Wednesday, January 29, students will participate in Youth Speak presentations. The focus of the presentations is Mental Health and Wellness. Coping in the face of adversity is a necessary skill. Youth Speak will engage students in self-awareness and opportunities to gain a better understanding about Mental Health.
- Friday, January 31 is a PA Day. There is no school for students.
- Save the Date- School Council has organized a presentation for parents and guardians. On Thursday, February 27, join us at 7pm in the Brownridge Library for a presentation called “A Simple Gift- Emotional regulation”. More details to follow.
