Info to Know at Brownridge

Here is some info to know:

  1. Lice checks are happening on Monday. Thanks to School Council for funding this opportunity.

  2. BINGO Night is Thursday, Nov 21. Come have some fun with friends and family. All monies raised are going to support the Kids Help Phone.  Please bring a non-perishable food item, gift card or unwrapped toy to support our Holiday Heroes Campaign. See the flyer below.

  3. HOLIDAY HEROES CAMPAIGN- Help Support families in need. Once again Brownridge is having the Holiday Heroes Campaign to help bring gift cards, new, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items to those in need. There are boxes in the front foyer where you can drop off all of your donations. Every little bit counts. Please donate generously. 

  4. Recycle your batteries at Brownridge. There is a box in the front foyer where you can place any batteries that no longer work. Let’s do our part to support our planet and make a difference in the environment. 

  5. Congratulations to the Intermediate Boys Volleyball team for playing their hearts out at the Volleyball Areas. They made it to the finals but lost 16-14 in the final tie breaker to Frechette. Both teams showed dedication, co-operation and sportsmanship.

  6. Thanks to all of our Brownridge families who came our for Student-Led Conferences/Parent Teacher Interviews. This is just one way we work to ensure parents are partners in education.

  1. Our grade 8 grad fundraising committee will be selling Kernels popcorn ($2) and cookies ($1.50) at the snack store at morning recess on Wednesday.

  2. The SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR is happening now and has lots of amazing new and classic books. The book fair is open during parent/teacher interviews all week as well as on Thursday evening and Friday morning. All monies raised help to purchase new resources for the school.

  3. Attention Grade 8 families, the first installment of the Grade 8 grad trip and graduation is available to be paid on School Cash Online. This is truly the trip of a lifetime! Muskoka Woods information packages came home last week. Please fill in the forms by November 22. Any questions, queries or concerns? Please call Mr. Gold at 905-660-3083.

  4. If you have not had a chance to sign up for Parent/Teacher Interviews or Student Led Conferences, please do so ASAP on EDSBY. This is one way to connect with your child’s teacher about achievement and well-being. Need help? Call the school at 905-660-3083.

WINTER IS COMING- Snowfall expected tomorrow (Monday)

WINTER IS COMING! Get ready for snow and ice! A heavy snowfall forecast is in effect for tomorrow (Monday). Please give yourself extra time to get to school.

Drive slowly, put your snow-clearing brushes in your car and be safe everyone!

Please remember to dress for the weather. Students will be going outside for morning recess and lunch recess as long as the temperature is warmer than -20 degrees and there is no rain. Boots, hats, gloves, winter jacket and snow pants are recommended.
