Important info from Brownridge…

26 Feb

Good evening everyone!

  1. As you know, safety is a priority for us at Brownridge. Based on the quantity of ice in the kindergarten entry area, we are asking that those who drop off Kindergarten students please bring your child through the front doors and to the classroom. If you drop your child off in the bus loop, our staff will bring them in through the front doors. If you pick up your child at the end of the day, please come through the front doors and go to the class to do so. Once the weather improves, we will resume regular routines.
  2. Our school council meeting is happening on Monday, March 4th at 6:30pm in the library. All are welcome to attend. If you have anything you would like put on the agenda or to bring up at the meeting, please email Rhonda and Rebecca at
  3. We had the kick off assembly for the Capes For Kids fundraiser this morning. Thanks to Molly for sharing important information about Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. All students and staff are invited to wear a cape on Friday, March 8th to show that they are super heroes who make a difference for others. Check out this website to learn how to make your own cape:
  4. In the event that there is an inclement weather day in the YRDSB, we still need you to inform us of your child’s absence if you choose to keep them home. You can do this on EDSBY or by calling the school at 905-660-3083.

Thanks, the Brownridge Team
