Join us for a parent support group for Russian speaking families. This is a great opportunity to meet other parents in an informal, relaxed atmosphere to share experiences and resources.

This is a partially subsidized event, where $15 of your individual meal will be covered (NOT INCLUDING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES). Caregivers are responsible for paying the remainder of their bill.

Notes: Spaces are limited.  Pre-registration is required. 

Supervision of children/youth at this Social Learning Opportunity is the sole responsibility of parents/guardians and caregivers; childcare will not be provided.  Caregivers must remain present. 

Due to allergies and sensitivities, please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, aftershave, or scented products such as hairspray or lotion. 

It is recommended that participants consult their physician prior to the start of any physical activity.  By registering for or participating in an Autism Ontario program or event, participants agree that they are and will be voluntarily participating in these activities and assume all risks of injury or death, which might result from these activities.

Things you need to know from Brownridge…

Be in the know:

  1. If you have a student in grade 8 going into grade 9 and you are considering attending a high school that is not your home school, you must fill out a transfer form (can be picked up from the Brownridge office) and return it to your child’s teacher by Tuesday, January 29. 
  2. ALL GRADE 8 STUDENTS must submit a secondary school registration form to their homeroom teacher by Tuesday, January 29. Please here for the registration form. 
  3. Friday, February 1 is a PA Day. There is no school for students.
  4. The Brownridge School Council wants to hear from you…Are you interested in hearing from a speaker about a specific topic (Parenting, technology use, etc), please email Rhonda and Rebecca, our school council co-chairs at
  5. There is lots going on at Brownridge. Our technology club, bracelet club and checkers club are going strong. If your child would like to start a club have them speak to Mr. Gold. All ideas welcome!

2019 Online Kindergarten Registration

Dear Families,

Kindergarten registration for September 2019 begins January 18 for the 2019-20 school year.

This year, our school is excited to be one of the pilot schools in the Board offering online registration for Kindergarten.

Children who turn four or five years old during 2019, live within the school boundary and whose parents are public school tax supporters will be eligible to register for kindergarten.

If you, or someone you know, is registering a child for Kindergarten at our school, you can access the online registration information at Please note that for this pilot, a laptop or desktop computer is strongly recommended, rather than a mobile device.

Families are still welcome to register in person in the school office.  Registration forms are available on the Board’s website at
