Brownridge PS. News to know….

17 Jun

Our 2017-2018 Brownridge yearbooks have come in and they are spectacular. They will be distributed shortly. Well done to Ms. Suh and the yearbook committee for coordinating!

Our recipe books are still and available and are also spectacular. There are some oldie but goodie recipes as well as some new and exciting recipes. There is also a section with modified recipes to support different dietary restrictions. Order now to avoid disappointment. Go to School Cash online to order.

Our Primary play day (grade 1-3) is happening on Monday, June 25 from 1:20-3:00. It will be an afternoon of fun and engagement!

We are super excited about our upcoming grade 8 graduation taking place on Monday, June 18. Our grade 8’s have been rehearsing and it is going to be a fabulous event.

Thank you to Ms. Feng and Ms. Koven for coordinating the Talent Show last week. We have the best students and staff EVER!

Our last day of school is on Thursday, June 28. It is an early release day so students will be dismissed at 11:40. Students who are bused or taxied will be picked up at 11:40.

Our final SPIRIT day is on Thursday, June 28th. Staff and students are encouraged to wear their Brownridge Spirit wear (or blue and white clothing) to show their school spirit.

Term two report cards will be coming home on Tuesday, June 26.

Our Family Games Night was an enormous Success. Thank you to Ms. Suh, Mr. Rappaport and the grade 8 students who organized and facilitated this amazing evening. It was great to see a technology free evening (except for coding with Dash and Dots) where families were spending time interacting and learning some new games.

Track and Field was AWESOME at Brownridge. Thank you to Mr. Hinds and all of the Brownridge Staff for coordinating! Thank you as well to the staff who helped out at Areas at Vaughan SS. A great day was had by all.

Our intermediate soccer team played their hearts out over the last couple of weeks. Mr. Brennan, their coach, has been extremely impressed with their sportsmanship and teamwork.
