  1. THE 2017-2018 BROWNRIDGE RECIPE BOOKDuring the 2017-2018 school year at Brownridge, we have focused on ensuring there is a feeling of inclusivity at the school by empowering our students to say “I belong here”. Part of our actions to help students feel connected to Brownridge has been to engage them in working toward common goals. One of these goals was to create the “Brownridge Recipe Book”.The Brownridge Recipe Book contains over 60 pages of Appetizers, Main Courses, Desserts, Meals for individuals with dietary restrictions and more. Each recipe in the book is a contribution from a student from Brownridge. Thanks to a financial donation from Public Health, the cost of our Recipe Book is only $10. You may purchase your very own copy of the Brownridge Recipe Book on School Cash Online. Recipe books will be available until Wednesday, June 20. There is no limit to how many books you may purchase.  Please see the attachments to view a couple of sample recipes. Sample Recipes

    2. We are very excited about the upcoming Family Games Night on Tuesday, June 12. Please join us for an amazing evening of fun led by our grade 8 students.

    3. Thank you, thank you, thank you to our amazing school council for running a sensational funfair. Not even the cold could prevent us from having an amazing time with all of the different attractions.

    4. Thank you to the school council and to all the parents who contributed in one way or another to the staff appreciation celebration. On behalf of the Brownridge Staff, we truly appreciate all of your support and everything you do for the school.

    5. This is a reminder that on Thursday, June 28, school ends at 11:40. Those students who are bused or taxied will be picked up at that time.

    6. Our students participated in an amazing day of Track and Field. Many of our students qualified for the Areas and will be heading to Vaughan SS on Tuesday or Wednesday supervised by our staff. They will compete against other schools. Thank you to Mr. Hinds for coordinating track and field.

    7. It’s that time of year again!  As we begin to prepare for school’s end, Mrs. Tenenbaum is busy rounding up overdue or lost library books.  All teachers have been given lists which indicate which of their students still have books to return.  Please do your best to send in all library books by June 15th.  If a book is lost or you think it has already been returned, please call Mrs. Tenenbaum at extension 526 so that she can assist you. ****Please note that students with outstanding library books will not be able to take out books in the following school year until their accounts are settled. Thank you for your support!

    Have a wonderful weekend!
