Change of dismissal due to inclement weather

16 Apr

The inclement weather continues, and as many of you have experienced firsthand, the snow is particularly heavy and difficult to move, to say nothing of the ongoing rain.  While we continue to reach out to our contractors, our back tarmac has yet to be plowed, and is expectedly icy.  We don’t want any students or families out on the tarmac where they might slip.  To this end, we would like to dismiss students exclusively from the front entrance/exit (off the Kiss ‘n Ride) at 3:00 p.m., as follows:

  • Parents and Guardians of kindergarten students can pick up their children inside the building at their classroom doors;
  • Parents and Guardians of students in grades one and two can pick up their children inside the building at their classroom doors; and
  • Students in grades three through eight will exit the school using the front doors to meet their parents or guardians, as needed.

We remind all parents driving in the area to exercise extreme caution in the interest of the safety of our community and students.  We would kindly request that everyone continue to use the front entrance/exit exclusively, until our tarmac is plowed and the weather improves.

Our thanks for your support.

The Brownridge Team
